Fees and Rebates

Medicare has implemented a “Better Access to Mental Health Care Program”, which entitles all eligible Medicare card holders to a rebate of $137.05 (or more, if you have reached the Medicare Safety Net) per consultation for ten consultations per calendar year.

If you wish to consult with me, please see your GP who will assess you for the program.  The GP might ask you to fill in a short questionnaire.  This assessment is longer than a standard consultation, so please inform the receptionist when you make the appointment that you need an extended consultation.  You will need to bring this referral and Mental Health Care Plan to your first appointment.

My fee structure is guided by my professional association, the APS (Australian Psychological Society).  I believe that everyone has the right to access psychological services, and thus maintain flexibility in this regard.

Please call me on 0416 001 801 if you wish to discuss this or obtain more information.

Once you have used your Medicare Rebate, you can also claim from your Private Health Fund if they cover psychological consultations.  Please check with your fund to see if you are covered.

The fee is payable at time of consultation by credit card, EFTPOS, cash or cheque.
